FAQ

“I am a multi-instrumentalist and enjoy playing real instruments. The Piano is the instrument in which I can best express myself. I also use other instruments. I work in my music studio in Doorn and Driebergen with both acoustic and digital instruments. I work in Logic Pro on the Mac and the possibilities are endless. I can compose background music for your company’s film or reel, a jingle for your podcast, or music for your yoga, mindfulness, or meditation classes. Anything is possible.”

This is a long story. If you want to know more, I would refer you to my blog about it. But for now, in brief: the standard tuning that was agreed upon to ensure all instruments could play together was set in the past at 440Hz. This means that the 4th key A on the piano was set to vibrate at that frequency (per second, or Hertz). However, this tuning is just an agreement and has little to do with an actual value or effect the vibrations have on our body, although it might affect what we hear. On the other hand, the 432Hz tuning affects our heart more. It is tuned to the frequency of our heart center and of the Earth. It comes from the primal sound known as Ohm, or mainly sung. The aboriginals also intuitively tuned their didgeridoos to this primal tone of the Earth. This frequency is 136.10Hz, and if you tune the piano to it, the A becomes 432Hz. I could talk about this for hours because I feel like an advocate for this tuning! I think all music should switch back to 432Hz because the world would be much more relaxed.
