Live soundscapes inside
the space you’re holding.
Piano, ambient textures, percussive pulses, cinematic depth, whatever your group needs in that moment. This is something completely different from a music performance or a playlist. Sound that listens to your room and answers.
Get in touchYou’ve built the space.
People arrive, settle, begin to open.
At that point, the right sound can make the difference between a good retreat and one that stays with them for years.
That kind of sound can’t come from a recording. It has to listen.
Most retreat leaders use
the same Spotify playlist,
over and over again.
Because it works, because it’s familiar, because it feels safe.
But a recorded playlist can’t read the room. It doesn’t know that today’s group is exhausted, or wide open, or holding something unspoken. It plays the same way no matter who’s listening.
What if sound could arise for this moment, this group, this breath?
It asks something of you. To let go of the playlist and trust that the moment will be held, even when it isn’t planned.
That trust is where the deepest retreats happen.
More than piano.
Whatever the moment calls for.
I work with a full sonic range — not to show range, but because different moments in your retreat need different textures. What arises depends on what the room is asking for.
Intimate, emotional, the intuitive core of what I do. Grand piano when available, stage piano otherwise.
Spacious, ethereal textures that hold a room in stillness. For integration, landing, long held silences.
Rhythm and pulse for breathwork, movement, moments that need energy and embodied drive.
Expansive, deep, orchestral layers. For ceremonies, peak releases, moments that ask for size.
Sustained tones and wordless voice where the room needs grounding or opening.
A selection of intuitive piano music — recorded live, improvised in the moment. This is the kind of sound I bring into a retreat.
Sound that meets your group
at every moment of the retreat.
Attunement, not performance.
I work in service of what you’re facilitating. Sound that holds the space, while you lead it. When the room needs softness, I play softer. When release is needed, I open. Your work stays central.
The integration layer.
After deep work, participants need time for what moved through them to land. Live music can do this better than silence alone. It carries the space softly while the body settles with what just moved through.
The moments that stay.
The opening circle. The breathwork peak. The closing ceremony. These are the moments your participants will remember. Live piano attuned to what’s happening makes them unforgettable.
A presence you can trust.
Twenty-five years of experience, including dozens of retreats. I read rooms. I stay out of the way. I don’t need briefing or micro-management — just a general sense of your arc, and I find my place in it.
“I’ve worked with musicians before. Roger is different. He doesn’t play at the group, he plays with them. My participants kept asking who he was and how I’d found him. The music held what I couldn’t hold alone.”Fiona Retreat facilitator
Three ways I fit inside your retreat.

One moment, precisely held.
30 to 60 minutes of live sound at a pivotal point: opening, closing, a sound journey, or post-breathwork landing. I arrive, attune, play what’s needed, and leave.
Woven through the day.
I’m present for the full retreat. Sound during arrival, meals, reflection, ceremony — whenever it serves. The palette shifts with the rhythm of your programme.
Co-facilitating a session.
We hold a session together. Your voice, your breathwork, your ceremony, with live sound underneath. I attune to your pacing, your intention, your arc. One continuous flow.
Simple and clear.
I bring a full sound kit: piano, synths, percussion, mics, PA if needed. A tuned acoustic piano is welcome when available.
From €750 per session. Retreat rates on request, scaled to duration and scope.
Netherlands, Belgium, Germany. Further afield in coordination.
